Two burglaries were reported in the city Wednesday, said police Sgt. Sandra Williams.

At 9:56 a.m., Simmons Lawn Service, 140 Merry Hill Road, reported that a RedMax hedge trimmer valued at $450, a Solo sprayer valued at $100 and a backpack sprayer, no brand specified, valued at $100, had been stolen.

At 12:02 p.m., a Sony amplifier valued at $40 and a Pioneer speaker box with woofers valued at $112 were reported stolen from a 1993 GMC van parked on King Drive.
