Riverwalk Casino employees Mike Carle and Amy Parsons serve up chili during the second annual Chili for Kids cook-off Saturday. Fifteen businesses and individuals competed and were judged by health and fitness champion Linda Fondren and “Biggest Loser” season 10 winner Patrick House. The cook-off raised $4,000, $1,600 more than last year, organizers said, and the money will be donated to the Warren County Children’s Shelter. This year’s winners are: first place, Big and John’s Chili, prepared by Porters Chapel football coach John Weaver and athletic director Bill Fleming; second place, Tim McCarley’s Backwoods Chili Burner; and James Mosely’s Darned Tootin Chili.
