Louise Carmichael Lewis

UTICA — Louise Carmichael Lewis died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Heritage House in Vicksburg. She was 92.

A lifelong resident of Utica, she was a retired homemaker and Sunday school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O.S. “Buck” Lewis in 1992; and a son, Michael Lewis in 2008.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Lewis Hutchins of Utica; three sons, Bobby Ray Lewis and Charles Ellis Lewis, both of Utica, and William J. “Bill” Lewis of Clinton; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 today at Utica United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Manning officiating. Burial will follow at the Utica Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home of Utica. Visitation will be at the church from 1 today until the service.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
