Thomas Wayne Auttonberry

DIAMOND CITY, Ark. — Thomas Wayne “Red” Auttonberry of Diamond City, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011. He was 67.

Mr. Auttonberry was a graduate of West Monroe High School and Louisiana Tech University, where he received a degree in industrial management. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving as an F-4 fighter pilot. He assisted in developing a skydiving team at Louisiana Tech University and performed as a professional musician with several groups.

He worked as a salesman for most of his life. He formed and operated Southern Office Supply in Vicksburg and was an AmsOil distributor.

Survivors include his wife, Etta Auttonberry; his parents, Ellis and Fay Auttonberry; three sons, Wayne Auttonberry, Steven Auttonberry and Brett Auttonberry; one daughter, Sheri Auttonberry Conte; two sisters, Pam Poynter and Billie Auttonberry Smallwood; the mother of his children, Cecil Hudnall Evans of St. Joseph; three grandchildren; and nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ridge Avenue Baptist Church in West Monroe with Dr. David Brown officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. Sunday until the service.
