Last night I attended the Vicksburg Main Street Program’s 27th annual meeting. I must admit I was not excited about attending. Dinner… speaker … not my top five of fun ideas.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic, the decor lovely and the music delightful. As the speaker was introduced, I braced myself to focus upon the yummy food. Again, I was pleasantly surprised! Mr. Mike Renacker, project manager for the MV Mississippi Museum, was extremely engaging! I learned about the riverfront project/museum. He was very interesting and humorous. Mr. Renacker helped me to become excited about the future of downtown Vicksburg!

We really have a super future here in Vicksburg! Shame on me for initially not wanting to attend. It was a real treat! Thank you, Main Street, for a wonderful evening!
