Services for Joe Minor will be at noon Tuesday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Minor died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at his home. He was 86.

Mr. Minor was a member of Mount Heroden Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a security officer for Anderson-Tully and retired from Oliver Electric Company.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Winston Minor; a daughter, Denise D. Minor; his father, Jimmy Minor; aunt and uncle who reared him, Benard and Rosie Lee Minor; and a brother, Nick Minor.

Survivors include cousins and other relatives and friends including the Minor, Harrison, Summers and Stewart families.
