Armed robbers order Drummond victims to floor

Phones and recording equipment valued at $1,700 were missing Monday night after three masked armed robbers stormed into a Drummond Street studio and ordered the people inside onto the floor.

Employees of Flicker and Flame Studios, 2707 Drummond St., said three men, described only as black and wearing ski masks and carrying pistols, entered the building during a recording session and ordered everyone to get on the floor, Lt. Bobby Stewart of the Vicksburg Police Department said.

No one was injured during the robbery reported at 10:22 but the suspects got away with a Dell laptop valued at $600, an MXL microphone valued at $200, a mixer board valued at $300, a Sony PSP valued at $200, an iPhone valued at $200 and an HTC cell phone valued at $200.

The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.
