A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning after being arrested for burglary, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Kevin Phillips, 21, 225 High Hill Drive, was a passenger in a car when it was stopped by Vicksburg police on Belmont and Cherry streets for a traffic violation. Phillips jumped out and ran, and was arrested minutes later at Holly and Cherry streets when a records check showed a warrant from the Warren County Sheriff’s Department for burglary, Stewart said. The warrant was from a December 2010 burglary in the 4700 block of Roberta Circle, Warren County Sheriff’s Lt. Randy Lewis said.

Phillips was being held without bond.
