The Delta Mountain Blues Boys, a bluegrass band, will hit the stage at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center Friday night in a fundraiser performance.

The goal is to help the SCHC raise $38,000 to add to a $150,000 Community Heritage Preservation Grant, administered through the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. The money will help with restoration of the center’s auditorium. A little more than $15,000 has been raised, said Annette Kirklin, SCHC director.

During the performance in the auditorium, the band will record its first CD.
