The Vicksburg Convention Center has received a 2011 Award of Excellence from Facilities & Destination magazine, the center’s executive director Larry Gawronski said.

The award is based on surveys of meeting planners conducted by Facilities & Destination.

Gawronski said the award was a tribute to the work of the convention center’s staff.

“We are grateful to receive this recognition by planners who have a voice in where they have their meetings,” he said. “It means we are being recognized by the decision-makers who benefit from our professional attention and state-of-the-art amenities.”
