Columbus G. Royster

Services for Columbus G. Royster will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greater Grove Street M.B. Church with the Rev. Robert L. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 until 7 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the family present from 6 until 7. Repast will be at the church following the burial.

Mr. Royster died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 79.

He was born in Port Gibson. He retired from Miller Transporters after 26 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Madonna Welborn; one son, George Riley Sr.; and three sisters, Melissa Lee White, Ora Pope and Doris Avery.

Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Royster of Vicksburg; four daughters, Yvonne Riley, Earlina Wright and Anita Bell, all of Vicksburg, and Marion Wright of Milwaukee; five sons, Larry Wright, Anthony Wright and Trevis Royster, all of Vicksburg, Louis Wright of West Memphis, Ark., and Kenneth Wright of Baton Rouge; and one brother, Charles Welborn of San Bernardino, Calif.
