City corrects wording for cemetery work bid

The Vicksburg Board of Aldermen on Tuesday rescinded action it took last month to advertise for bids for work at Cedar Hill, the city cemetery.

City Clerk Walter Osborne said after the meeting that the item on the July 18 agenda was incorrectly worded and should have said “advertise for bids for the 2011 cemetery paving project.” The item, instead, said “advertise for asphalt for the cemetery.”

The board authorized Osborne to advertise for bids for the paving work, set for the newest part of the Sky Farm Avenue cemetery.
