The Friday Night Lights will be burning brightly in Warren County.

In a rare treat for local football fans, all four schools in the county will start their respective seasons in town, highlighted by the 49th playing of the Red Carpet Bowl Classic at Warren Central.

“This is what I love,” said Wade Patrick, who will be coaching his first game as Porters Chapel Academy head coach when the Eagles kick off at 7 p.m. against Union Christian. “It’s not like the pros, where everybody’s playing for more money. In high school, they play just to play. It’s football in its purest form.”
