Harold Lloyd Peeples

Harold Lloyd Peeples died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at his residence. He was 71.
Born July 20, 1940, in Banner, Miss., Mr. Peeples married Annette Swindoll on June 27, 1957, in Water Valley. The couple moved to Vicksburg in 1965.
He worked as a welder for R.G. LeTourneau for eight years, then for Big River Ship Building, retiring from there in 2007. He liked to fish and hunt. He was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Lloyd Peeples and Chessie LaVerne Kelly Peeples; and his brothers, Allen, Glenn and Shirel Peeples.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Swindoll Peeples of Vicksburg; one son, Tommy Peeples of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Brenda Peeples (Jerry) of Vicksburg; a brother, Robert Peeples (Lane) of Bude; a sister, Ruth Turner of Gulfport; and grandchildren, Dustin Furr of Utica and Deidra A. Furr (Dusty) of Vicksburg.
Special thanks to Dr. Newcomb and Dr. Walher and staff at the Cancer Center, to Dr. Yoshinobu Namihira and staff, Patient’s Choice Hospice; and Dr. Wooten and nurses on the sixth floor at River Region Medical Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Andy Turner, Chess Peeples, Dutch Peeples, Alston Peeples, Dusty Whipperling and Tommy Suell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Turner, Kenny Peeples and Jerry Pettiss.
