Frances Webster Hammack

JACKSON — Frances Webster Hammack passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 88.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson. A chapel service will be at 11 with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hammack was born on Jan. 7, 1923, in Jacksonville, Fla., to the late Earle Johnson Reynolds and Emma Rabb Reynolds. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and in later years became a member of Westview Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Stewart Webster; son, John R. Webster; and grandson, Paul B. Webster.

She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, George C. Hammack; son, Steve Webster of Brandon; daughters, Lynn (Lee) Miller of Ooltewah, Tenn., and Jane (Buddy) Hanks of Vicksburg; stepson, David (Becky) Hammack of Florence; stepdaughter, Annette (Brian) Martello of Groton, Mass.; grandchildren, Christy Wright of Chattanooga, Tenn., Stacy (Mike) Dunfee of Ringgold, Ga., Melissa Webster of Pearl and Stephanie Webster of Los Angeles; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Hammack’s name to HIS Heart Community Ministries, 1300 W. Capitol St., Jackson, MS 39203
