A Vicksburg woman was treated for cuts after being assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, whom police were seeking, said Lt. Bobby Stewart.

Rochelle Williams, 35, 112 Meadowvale Drive, told police that Brian Coleman, 38, first tried to strangle her and then cut her multiple times after the two argued at their home Thursday afternoon.

Williams then fled and was taken by a friend to River Region Medical Center, where police were notified at 4:22 p.m., Stewart said.

Williams suffered three wounds in the abdomen and three in the back, he said.

She was treated and released, said hospital spokesman Allen Karel.

Police were continuing this morning to look for Coleman for aggravated domestic violence, said Stewart.
