4 sentenced in Warren circuit court

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• Jeffery B. Brown, 36, 2112 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to three years in prison followed by five years of probation, a $3,000 fine and $622.50 in court costs. Brown was arrested April 1, 2010.

• Jermaine Franklin, 30, 3005 Valley St., pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and was sentenced by Chaney to two years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus a $5,000 fine and $622.50 in costs. Franklin was arrested July 15. Chaney also found Franklin guilty of violating probation from an August 2007 arrest and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. The sentences are to be served consecutively.

• Lola Mae Thomas, 34, 1950 Hope St., Apt. 17-D, was found guilty of violating the terms of her original sentence after pleading guilty to felony bad check and was sentenced by Chaney to the Ninth Circuit Court Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus a $1,000 fine, $1,152.36 in restitution and $997.50 in costs. Thomas was arrested Jan. 8, 2010.

• Justin T. Williams, 26, 1325 Jackson St., pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Chaney to five years in prison followed by three years of probation, plus a $2,000 fine and $622.50 in costs. Williams was arrested Oct. 2, 2007.
