Michael W. Luckett

UTICA — Michael W. “Mike” Luckett of Utica died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 66.
Born in Vicksburg, he was the son of the late P.W. “Jack” Luckett, Jr. and Helen Marie Galloway Luckett. He was a graduate of Tallulah High School and attended Delta State University.
Mr. Luckett served in the Air Force with the rank of sergeant. He retired as maintenance supervisor for Vicksburg Chemical Company in 2001 with 22 years of service and later was employed as maintenance supervisor for Hampton Inn and Suites, retiring in 2011.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Luckett of Utica; two daughters, Tena Unterkofler of Newton, Ala., Jackie Potter (Justin) of Fort Campbell, Ky.; two sons, Michael David Wallace Luckett (Britiany) of Newton, Ala., and Justin Clayton Luckett of Utica; four grandchildren, Jonathan Unterkofler, Wyatt Tice, Angel Luckett and Madison Luckett; a twin sister, Diann Brown (Wayne) of Utica; three nieces, four nephews and six great-nephews.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Cayuga Cemetery in Utica. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home until the service. Pallbearers will be Steven Hutchins, Jeff Esparza, David Luckett, Jonathan Unterkofler, Wyatt Tice, Justin Potter, Garrett Hutchins and Gunner Hutchins.
