Wince was correct

I agree 110 percent with Mr. Wince’s letter to the editor on Nov. 27, but I would like to add a lot to what he said.

There is high crime along Redbone Road, both vehicle speed, vehicle noise and drug activity. There are three Vicksburg police officers who live in the area, and all three have been told of the vehicles that are committing these dangerous crimes. All three said that they cannot do anything about it, but all three had received exact vehicle identification.

During the Leyens Administration, the city board put into effect a noise ordinance law. The first offense was automatic arrest. How come when the voters elect new city administration that the new elected officers and VPD officers refuse to enforce the old laws?

If I broke the law, then I would expect punishment. Deuteronomy 6:1 says “Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land…”

When the VPD officers refuse to obey and enforce the laws of the land, then they are disobeying God who created them. He will punish the unjust.
