ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Services for G.W. “Ray” Jackson will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Mack Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Jackson died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. He was 70.

He had lived in Anchorage for more than 40 years. He was an Army veteran and was a life member of the American Legion. He retired after 30 years from the U.S. Postal Service in Anchorage and worked part time as a bus monitor for Forsythe Transportation System.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Jackson Sr. and Lillian Estine Jackson; and two sisters, Ruby Nell Wilkerson and Beulan Jackson.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Donerson and Anthony Walluk, both of Anchorage; a daughter, Vanessa Walluk of Anchorage; four brothers, James Jackson Jr., Roy Jackson and Leroy Hall, all of Vicksburg, and Howard Jackson of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Willie Mae Grissom and Glenda Christmas, both of Vicksburg, and Eula Conway Johnson of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including Ola Mae Taylor.
