Five individuals on former Gov. Haley Barbour’s list of pardons granted Tuesday were serving or had served prison terms for crimes committed in Warren County.

They were John Davis, Mabrie Christopher Gilmer, Amy Douglas Love, Herbert Lowery and Johnny Lee Nettles.

Of the five, Davis and Nettles were serving life terms and were given “indefinite” suspensions of their sentences for medical reasons.

A statement issued by Barbour Wednesday night cited high medical costs for those inmates he agreed to release because of medical conditions.
