Carlos C. MacDonald and Hanitra M. Austin were married at 5 p.m. Dec. 30, 2011, at Anchuca Mansion. Mitchell Dent officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of James and Hannah Austin of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Lou Emma Moore of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Carl and Teresa MacDonald of Martinsburg, W.Va.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were rose and white.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Tolliver of Dallas, Texas. Carl MacDonald served as best man.

A reception followed the ceremony at Anchuca.

The couple will make their home in Manassas, Va. The bride is employed by the federal government, and the groom is a government contractor.
