A Home Depot employee was held without bond in Issaquena County Jail this morning on an embezzlement charge, Vicksburg police said.

Johnny Barber Jr., 26, 158 Cain Ridge Road, was arrested at 5:23 p.m. Saturday for allowing $1,730.10 in merchandise to leave the store without properly scanning the items at the register, Capt. Bobby Stewart said. Items included power tools, plumbing fixtures and a sink.

Barber was out on bond for grand larceny stemming from an arrest in July, Stewart said.
