Attorney General’s Office representative Clif Harper, left, BancorpSouth employee Pam Pugh and Shred-It operations manager Larry Lee help Vicksburg resident Sengrid Henderson, rear, unload a bag of paper to be shredded during Community Shred Day Saturday at the bank’s downtown office. It was the fist Community Shred Day in Vicksburg, an event that has been sponsored around the state since 2007. In that time, 196,000 pounds of personal documents have been shredded, according to the Attorney General’s Office. After shredding, the paper is compressed and eventually remade into paper products, Shred-It worker Joey Harrington said.
