Phillips, St. Aloysius win at Clear Creek

Laura Phillips shot a 90 to take medalist honors, and St. Aloysius totaled 189 as a team to win a five-team girls tournament Thursday at Clear Creek Golf Course.
St. Al beat Madison Central by seven strokes. Warren Central, Clinton and Brandon also played in the tournament.
Madison Central’s Jeshannah Johnson was second in the individual standings, with a 92, and St. Al’s Beth Newman and Anna Fletcher each shot a 99 to tie for third. Hannah Gore was Warren Central’s top golfer, with a 117.
Warren Central will play in a nine-hole tournament Tuesday at Live Oaks in Clinton at 3 p.m., while St. Al will play at Canton Country Club the same day.
