The Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation has scheduled workshops for youths during June as part of the Hobbs Freeman Arts and Nature Celebration in 2012.

• Exploring Art and Nature with the Masters will run from 9 a.m.-noon, June 4-8 for ages 6-10 and June 11-15 for ages 11-16.

Students will create art projects geared toward art history characters.

The cost is $15 and includes supplies. Space is limited and reservations are required.

• Spirit of the Wood 2-day Workshop for Kids runs from 2-4 p.m., June 4-5, for ages 10-16.

The free workshop, led by Lesley Silver will teach students to create art through the use of wood and other natural resources.

• The annual Vicksburg Multicultural Arts Camp for Kids is planned from 8 a.m.-noon June 25-29 for ages 6-12. Students will study cultural differences and similarities through art, dance and cuisine. The cost is $50.
