A Vicksburg man faces a charge of possession of cocaine after his arrest early today on U.S. 80, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

He said Marvin Caples, 34, 300 Union Ave., was being held without bond in the Warren County Jail pending an initial appearance in justice court.

Pace said deputy Dan Ratliff stopped Caples on U.S. 80 just after midnight for a traffic violation. As Caples was getting out of the car, he said, Ratliff saw a small packet of cocaine on the car’s floor and arrested him. He said deputies also found a small package of marijuana on Caples during a search at the jail.
