Summer school in VWSD begins May 31, runs through mid-July

Summer school in the Vicksburg Warren School District will begin with elementary classes on May 31.
Junior high classes will begin June 4, and high school on June 1, trustees voted Thursday night.
Cost and courses vary by level. Transportation will be the responsibility of the parent or student.
Elementary classes will be at Warren Central Intermediate on Sherman Avenue, off U.S. 61 North. Parents may register their children between May 23 and 30 at WCI, with the costs, which begin at $195 for in-district students, payable by cash or money order. Costs for out-of-district students will be $250 and for out-of-state students, $500.
Junior high courses will be offered at Warren Central Junior High School mornings from June 4 to 29. Students can take one or two courses, with the first class scheduled from 8 to 10 a.m., the second from 10:05 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.
Costs are $95 for each course for in-district students, $150 for out-of-district students and $300 for out-of-state students, paid by cash or money order. Registration will be May 31 and June 1.
High school classes will be held at Warren Central High School from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 1 to July 13. Tuition, again by cash or money order, begins at $150 for a ½ Carnegie unit course and $300 for a 1 unit course. Out-of-district costs are $187.50 and $375, respectively, and out-of-state tuition is $375 and $750, respectively.
High school registration will be from 8 a.m. to noon, May 30 and 31, in Gym A.
