Indulge in an evening of chocolate, wine and entertainment, where the calories won’t count, said Annette Kirklin, director of the Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation, since it’s a fundraiser for the foundation’s cultural facility.
At 7 p.m. Thursday, the SCHF will host the fourth annual A Chocolate Affair and guests will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of chocolate delicacies along with entertainment by vocalist and songwriter Shannon McNally.
Vendors for the evening include Ameristar Casino and Hotel, Anchuca, Cedar Grove Mansion Inn & Restaurant, Just Desserts, The Liquor Store, Main Street Market, Roca, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Shel’s Sweets and Walnut Hills.
Kirklin said that Anchuca, Cedar Grove Mansion Inn and Restaurant, Roca and Walnut Hills will offer a 10 percent discount off dinner the night of the event to anyone who presents their A Chocolate Affair ticket.
Some of the items at the chocolate tasting include chocolate fudge, brownie bread pudding and chocolate tiramisu, said Kirklin.
“There will also be a wine tasting,” Kirklin said, adding Rujul Patel, owner of The Liquor Store, will offer four or five selections of wine.
