Achievements

• Ryan Sadler, the son of Dr. Robert and Tricia Guider Sadler of Vicksburg, will give the farewell address to his graduating class at Columbia Business School’s Executive MBA recognition ceremony in New York City on May 19. Student speakers are selected by fellow graduates to represent the class at the ceremony and are chosen based on their contributions to Columbia, intellectual strength and speaking ability. A 1998 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, he received bachelor’s degrees in international business and Hispanic studies from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala. He graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2005 and practiced law at Adams and Reese LLP. He has worked for four years at Medco Health Solutions based in Washington, D.C., where he manages government affairs focused on Medicaid, biologic drug products and quality health care.

• Molly Beth Jourdan of Vicksburg was recognized as a Who’s Who in American Colleges & Universities at Millsaps College at a ceremony on campus. She is majoring in biology with a minor in business administration. She has participated in the Honors Program and Ford Teaching fellowship at Millsaps and is a member of the women’s soccer and golf teams and Phi Mu fraternity.

• Alfred Lee Webb Jr. has been honored with membership into the International Dean’s List Society for exemplary academic performance at Jackson State University. He graduated magna cum laude with a health care administration degree. He is the son of Alfred L. Webb Sr. and Saundra L. Jones and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leothis Webb.

Scholarships

• Joe and Feeney Elliott Scholarship recipients administered through The Auxiliary at River Region were Anthony Jacob Smithey and Heather Sit of Porters Chapel Academy; Ashtin Giambrone and Heather Hayes of St. Aloysius High School; Jessica Friley and Princess Spears of Vicksburg High School; and Lindsey Burris and April Mayfield of Warren Central High School. All students are planning careers in the field of medicine.
