Mims, Amacker to marry July 7

Mr. and Mrs. John Howard Vaught Mims announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Lindley, to Brandon Michael Amacker. Mr. Amacker is the son of Lynne Roberts Amacker and the late William “Billy” Amacker of Brandon.
Miss Mims is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Bailess and the late Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Mims, all of Vicksburg.
Mr. Amacker is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Roberts of Purvis and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Amacker of Poplarville.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader and a member of the National Honor Society and yearbook staff. She was a recipient of the Norseman Award. She was a member of Sub-Debs, Rebelettes and Vicksburg Cotillion Club.
She received a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer science from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Miss Mims is pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education.
The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School, where he was a member and captain of the varsity soccer team.
He received a bachelor’s degree in insurance and risk management from the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Amacker is an account executive with the Insurance Center of Meridian-Jackson.
The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m. July 7, 2012, at Galloway United Methodist Church of Jackson. A reception will follow at The South. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
