Dr. and Mrs. Michael E. Newman of Starkville announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Erin Kelly, to Donald Carlisle Livingston. Mr. Livingston is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Mitchell Livingston of Amory.

Miss Newman is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Arnold of Vicksburg and Mr. and Mrs. Junior C. Dunn and Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Newman, all of Water Valley.

Mr. Livingston is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. Baker of Amory and Mrs. Adam Carlisle Jr. of Aberdeen and the late Mr. Carlisle.

The bride-elect graduated in 2006 as valedictorian of Starkville High School. She graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University with a degree in biomedical engineering.

Miss Newman is a second-year medical student at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

The prospective groom graduated in 2005 as valedictorian of Amory Christian Academy. He graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a degree in biological sciences.

Mr. Livingston is a second-year medical student at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

The wedding will be at 2 p.m. June 2, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Starkville.
