David Andrew Crouse Sr. died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 93.
Mr. Crouse was a native of Carthage, Ark. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy and later in the U.S. Army. He retired from Waterways Experiment Station in 1986 as a civil engineer technician.
He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Vicksburg. He had previously been a 3rd degree Mason in Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Betty Crouse; a brother, Newton Key Crouse; two sisters, Genie Voss and Pebble Wylie; his first wife, Kathleen G. Crouse; and his second wife, Alice H. Crouse.
Survivors include two sons, David A. Crouse Jr. of Vicksburg and William McLawrin (Margaret) of Kernersville, N.C.; two daughters, JoAnne Ashley (John) and Debbie Massey, both of Vicksburg; six grandchildren, Jennifer Gray (Brian), Kristie Massey, Jill Fields (Philip), Jesse Crouse, Amy Wooten (Terry) and Julie Crouse; and eight great-grandchildren, Destiny Massey, Rainy Massey, Summer Crouse, John Gray, Dalton Nowell, Jim Gray, Gage Crouse and Jackson Gray.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Tim Brown and Kuhrman Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David A. Crouse Jr., Jesse Crouse, Brian Gray, Terry Wooten, Philip Fields and Frank Ashley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Pierce III, Dr. Paul Pierce IV and the staff of Camellia Home Health & Hospice.
