Warren Central cross country
A meeting will be held May 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Warren Central track for Warren Central students interested in joining the cross country team. Parents are encouraged to attend the meeting.
Warren Central baseball camp
Warren Central’s Home of Champions baseball camp is scheduled for May 29 to June 1, from 8 a.m. to noon each day at Viking Field.
The camp is for children ages 5 to 15, and will feature instruction from WC players and coaches on hitting, defense and other skills.
The registration fee $100 for the entire camp, or $25 per day. Campers should also bring a hat, shoes, glove, socks and sunscreen. They can also bring their own bat, but are asked to label it.

Vicksburg High football camp
Vicksburg High will host the Gator Youth Football Camp at Memorial Stadium on June 12 and 13. The camp is for children ages 7-14 and will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Instructors will be the VHS coaching staff. The registration is $50, and registration will continue through June 12.
Vicksburg Eagles football registration
The Vicksburg Eagles are registering players and cheerleaders ages 6-12 on Mondays and Thursdays at the Vicksburg Junior High Stadium at 5 p.m. A copy of each player’s birth certificate is required at registration. For information, call Perri Johnson at 601-456-1104 or Betty James at 601-415-7299.
Vicksburg CC swim, tennis camps
Vicksburg Country Club will host an ages 10 and under swim and tennis camp June 4-8. The registration fee is $70 for VCC members and $100 for non-members. For information, call 601-636-8692.
Sam Okeke soccer tourney
The Vicksburg Soccer Association will hold a tournament on June 9-10 to benefit Sam Okeke in his battle with cancer. The tournament is for U10 through U13 teams registered in Mississippi and the cost is $12 per player. The registration deadline is Thursday. To register, call Crystal Davidson at 318-542-8768.
Par-Busters golf tourney
The 37th annual Par-Busters Golf Club Community Service Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 1-3 at Clear Creek Golf Course.
The 36-hole, medal play tournament will include four men’s flights, one women’s flight, one seniors flight for players ages 60-69, and one super seniors flight for players 70 and older. Prizes will be awarded for longest drives and shots closest to the pin.

Holes-in-one at Clear Creek
Richard Cooper and Pete Johnson both recorded holes-in-one at Clear Creek Golf Course earlier this month.
Cooper got his on May 10, on the 142-yard 13th hole with a 4-iron. Witnesses were Brian Williamson, Don Cargisle, and Guillermo Riveros.
On May 16, Johnson aced the 106-yard second hole with a gap wedge. Witnesses were Eddie Fowler, Buddy Strickland, Bill Arrington and Doug Dick.
