Woman, 19, accused of forging 2 checks

A Vicksburg woman accused of forgery was in jail this morning.

Megan Clanton, 19, 171 Falk Steel Road, surrendered at 6:43 p.m. Tuesday, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Clanton is accused of passing two forged checks totaling $538.86 March 13 and 14 at Walmart, Stewart said.

Clanton was held this morning in the Issaquena County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
