Sherry Nations Lowery died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 63.

Mrs. Lowery was born Jan. 23, 1949, in Anniston, Ala., and was a lifelong Vicksburg resident. A homemaker, she graduated from Vicksburg High School and attended Hinds Community College.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Warene Nations; a son, Michael Lowery; and a daughter, Teasha Lowery.

Survivors include her husband, Odis Lowery Jr. of Vicksburg; her father, Wilbur Nations Sr. of Vicksburg; one brother, Wilbur Nations Jr. of Natchez; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home of Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
