I would like to have proper credit given to Randy Rippy and William Wienke of the Vicksburg Fire Department.

Although my picture was published my efforts in the search for drowning victims was minimal compared to Randy and William. They, together, did all the dives, mainly due to their experience and training. I would like the city and county to know that they have a great resource in the Vicksburg Fire Department Dive Team.

This was my first time to work with them in this type of situation. I know firsthand that these guys, under the direction of Battalion Chief Craig Danczyk, gave every effort to locate the victims.

I look forward to gaining knowledge from them in the future by training with them with the hope I never have to use it. I would also like to send my condolences to the families of the victims.
