Mike Hurley erased a two-shot deficit on Sunday afternoon to win the Clear Creek club golf championship.

Hurley shot a final round three-under 69 to win the title by six strokes over Herby Poole and Rocky Shiers. Shiers shared the lead after Saturday’s opening round with a two-over 74 with Dustin Simmons.

Hurley’s 69 gave him a two-day total of 145. Shiers shot a 77 on Sunday to finish with a 151. That was matched by Poole, who shot a 74 on Sunday to also finish at 151.

Tom Jones won the first flight with a 161 (82-79) while Javier Torres and Jeff Cowan tied for second at 162.

Sissy Kern won the women’s championship division by 12 strokes over Karen Carroll, 154 to 166.

Sherry Aultman won the women’s first flight.

Cameron Curtis and Trey Martin shared the win in the second flight at 168. Rodney McHann shot a 1-over 73 on Sunday to claim the senior men’s division with a 152. Hugh Hasty was second at 163.
