Retrick Jocobie Matthews

GULFPORT — Retrick Jocobie Matthews died Saturday, June 30, 2012, in Gulfport. He was 19.
Mr. Matthews attended Gulfport Public Schools and was a 2011 graduate of Port Gibson High School. He was a former member of Second Sweet Home Body in Christ Ministry in Gulfport and attended Beams Temple Church in Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bettie Matthews and Dayton Fields; and his paternal grandparents, Lelia Mae and Lindbergh Barnes.
He is survived by his mother, Coretta Matthews of Gulfport; his father, Paul Dwayne Barnes of Jackson; a brother, Rayshun Jeremy Pruitt of Gulfport; four sisters, LaKisha Lofton, Alicha Renae Barnes, Shapaula Laniece Barnes and Candace Brianna Lofton, all of Jackson; and other relatives and friends, including members of the Burns family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Good Deeds Community Center in Gulfport. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul M.B. Church in Utica under the direction of Hartwell Christian Mortuary of Gulfport.
