Lori Helen Nosser

Lori Helen Nosser departed this life in the hope of resurrection unto life eternal on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 58.
She was born May 19, 1954, in Vicksburg to Albert and Dolores Nosser. Miss Nosser graduated from H.V. Cooper High School in 1972. She then attended the University of Southern Mississippi, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She touched the lives of her many students during her 34 years of teaching. She was an active member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was an active member of the Women of St. George.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Nosser; her maternal grandparents, Alex and Katherine Koury; and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Helen Nosser.
She is survived by her mother, Dolores Koury Nosser; her sisters, Joni Lee Nosser and Shelley Jo Nosser; her brother Albert Joseph “Dobie” Nosser; her sister-in-law, Julia Bowen Nosser; and her most beloved nephew, Albert Joseph Nosser Jr.; and her most beloved niece, Lauren Kathleen Nosser, all of Vicksburg.
Anyone who was blessed to know Lori saw her inner beauty through her beautiful smile. Everything that she did, she did with a loving spirit and an unselfish heart. Her greatest love was doing for others, which was a testimony to her love and faith in God. Her family was her life, and she was truly a gift from God to them.
Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 8 at Riles Funeral Home with Trisagion prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church with the Very Rev. John W. Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Wayne Thornton, Ben Shaw, Jim Gragg, David Hosemann, Remy Massey, Ellis Glenn Koury, Johnnie Nosser and Mickey Fedell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Nosser, Rickey Mitchell, Buddy Strickland, Brian Strickland, Park Rogers, Freddie Abraham, Robert Abraham, Dr. Donald Mack, Randy Goodman, Robert Griffin and all the members of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church.
The family expresses a special thanks to Dr. Joseph Wilson, Dr. Lee Humble, Dr. Michael Davis, the fifth floor staff of River Region, Dr. Martin Newcomb and Dr. Steven Zachow and their staffs.
