The engagement of Candice Ameen Landers to Joseph Christopher Ables II is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 23, 2012, at St. Michael Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Ms. Landers is the daughter of Jimmy and Sheri McBride and George and Allison Ameen, all of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Warren and Camille Doiron and Cooper and JoAnn Trevilion, all of Vicksburg, and George and Margie Ameen of Rolling Fork.

Mr. Ables is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Christopher Ables of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Johnnie Ables and the late Christopher Ables and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Love Sr., all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of St. Aloysius High School. She is a receptionist at Mission Primary Clinic.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Warren Central High School. He is a drill foreman with Deviney Construction.
