Malcolm White, executive director of Mississippi Arts Commission, has been appointed chairman of the Mississippi Blues Commission, according to the commission.

The commission consists of 18 appointed commissioners representing major organizations and geographic/political regions supporting Blues initiatives throughout the state.

The Mississippi Blues Trail is an initiative of the Blues Commission and is the state’s most popular heritage tourism initiative, attracting visitors from across the United States and Europe to Mississippi each year.
