DAYTON, Ohio — C.D. McCoy, a former Vicksburg resident, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 64.
Mr. McCoy was a graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a member of Calvary M.B. Church and retired from Delphi Automotive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Ora D. McCoy; three brothers, Samuel McCoy Jr., Robert McCoy and Anderson McCoy.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine McCoy; three daughters, Jennifer Newland, Vanessa McCoy and JoAnn McCoy; six brothers, Clyde McCoy, Lee Arthur McCoy, both of Vicksburg, William Henry McCoy of Natchez, Calvin McCoy of Laurel and Larry McCoy and James R. Douglas, both of Chicago; a sister, Gloria McCoy Ward of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary M.B. Church in Dayton with the Rev. Jerry Copeland, officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday until the service at the church.
