Willie Lee Price

Services for Willie Lee Price will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Grove M.B. Church, 2715 Alcorn Drive, with the Rev. Leonard Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Price died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. He was 74.

A lifelong Vicksburg resident, Mr. Price had owned and operated Price’s Barber Shop since 1969. He was a 1958 graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School and served three years in the Army. He graduated from Mid-South Barber College in 1966.

He was a member and deacon at New Mount Elem M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louise Price; three brothers, William Price Jr., Albert J. Price and Joe S. Price; and three sisters, Erma Belton, Lillie Pickens and Betty Reddix.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Easter Price; three stepsons, Fred Rufus, Clifton Rufus and Ennis Rufus; one stepdaughter, Freddie Mae Hill; two brothers, Theodore Price of Vicksburg and George Price of Bossier City, La.; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
