REFUGIO, Texas — Betty Ruth Rooke passed away Aug. 12, 2012. She was born Oct. 8, 1932, in Oklahoma to the late Woody Waitson and Jewel Boone Waitson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Allen Driscoll Rooke.

She is survived by daughters, Vicki (Guy) Lewis of Vicksburg and Nelly Rooke of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, Kathleen Bivens and Ruthie Lewis; and five great-grandchildren, Brooke, Brianna, Brett Bivens and Andrew and Abye Hearn.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Oakwood Cemetery in Refugio, Texas, with Dr. Jimmy Arnold officiating.
