FAYETTE — Lee Arthur Davis died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at his home. He was 98.

Mr. Davis was born in Fayette and attended Jefferson County Public Schools. He was a retired farmer, contractor and laborer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cluster “Dock” and Josie Duck Davis.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Davis of Vicksburg and James Davis of Fayette; four daughters, Ella Mae Doss of Harriston, Miss., Helen Hudson and Diane Hall, both of Fayette, and Geraldine Harris of Natchez; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pine Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2 until 7 at Spencer Funeral Home and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Corey Harris, Frederick Harris, Christopher Harris, Michael Harris, Daniel Hall, Kenny Carter and Arnold Clark Jr.
