Shooting victim faces charge of having stolen gun

The victim of an accidental shooting was arrested Wednesday after police discovered that the gun that shot him was stolen hours earlier, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

Kyle Fulgham, 20, 530 Steele Drive, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday and charged with possession of a stolen firearm, Stewart said.

Fulgham was shot Friday with a .380-caliber Smith and Wesson pistol reported stolen 4½ hours earlier from a home in the 100 block of Steele Drive, Stewart said.

The shooting happened at 1212 Grammar St.

Fulgham posted $7,500 bail and was released from the Warren County Jail.

Following the shooting, Quentin Taylor, 20, 1211 Grammar St., who was handling the gun when it accidently discharged, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and Anthony Cortezie, 19, of 1212 Grammar St., was charged with tampering with evidence, Stewart said.
