Services for U.L. Wright will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Jerusalem M.B. Church in Jackson with Pastor R.E. Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Church Cemetery in Edwards. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Wright died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Covenant Health and Rehab of Vicksburg. He was 76.

He was born Aug. 23, 1935, in Edwards to Ardelia Bishop and Antonio Wright. He was a member of Mount Moriah M.B. Church.

Mr. Wright retired after 36 years from General Motors in Flint, Mich., and returned to Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Wright; one son, Junius “Paul” Williams; an adopted daughter, Beatrice Crowder of Flint; three brothers, Ulysses Wright and Chester Bishop, both of Saginaw, Mich., and Fred Wright of Chicago; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives, including Cabrini Smith of Jackson.
