Miss Sluis, Mr. Forman to recite vows Oct. 13

Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Sluis of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Ruth of Chattanooga, Tenn., to John-Michael Forman. Mr. Forman is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Forman of Chattanooga.
Miss Sluis is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hunter George of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sluis of Wyckoff, N.J.
Mr. Forman is the grandson of Rita Bonanno and the late John Bonanno of Philadelphia, Pa.; the late Rhea Forman of Denver, Colo.; and Vernice Forman McBurney and the late Waldo McBurney of Quinter, Kan.
The bride-elect graduated in 2008 as salutatorian of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Key Club. She graduated magna cum laude in 2012 from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga., where she was a member of the Senior Class Cabinet and Campus Stewardship Committee.
Miss Sluis is an underwriter at Cigna Healthcare in Chattanooga.
The prospective groom graduated with high honors in 2006 from Lake Region High School in Winter Haven, Fla., where he was a member of the National Honor Society and Habitat for Humanity. He is an Eagle Scout. He received a degree in 2010 from Covenant College, where he was a discipleship coordinator, resident assistant and a member of Psi Chi psychology honor society.
Mr. Forman is self-employed at Forman Pottery.
The wedding will be at 4 p.m. Oct. 13, 2012, at Rock Creek Fellowship in Rising Fawn, Ga. A reception will follow at Hidden Hollow in Chickamauga, Ga.
