The engagement of Sarah Margaret May to Andrew Scott Cote, both of Brandon, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged in a beachside ceremony at 5 p.m. Sept. 29, 2012, in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Miss May is the daughter of Gretta May of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. May of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Bolden of Vicksburg and Walter T. May and the late Margaret May of Gulf Breeze, Fla.

Mr. Cote is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen D. Beard of Vicksburg and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew F. Cote of Madison. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David S. Haworth of Vicksburg; Ida Haworth of Charlotte, N.C.; and the late Dr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Cote Jr. of Jackson.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Habersham Central High School. She attended Brenau University.

Miss May is an insurance and financial services adviser with Insphere Insurance Solutions.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received a degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi.

Mr. Cote is a service manager with Terminix.
